Palm Beach

A beach community with exclusive real estate

Welcome to Palm Beach

Palm Beach is separated from the mainland of Florida by the Intracoastal Waterway and bordered to the east by the Atlantic Ocean. Real estate on this strip of paradise is highly coveted and attracts those who want views of the water in a luxurious locale. While a large portion of those living in Palm Beach do so only part-time, the residents of the area appreciate their neighborhood and make an effort to maintain and stay involved in the community.

Residents today relish high-end properties and a picturesque setting, but the area has not always been glitz and glam. In 1880, the first hotel was built in Palm Beach and named Coconut Grove House. A short time later, in the 1890s, Palm Beach began a lucrative tourism industry and had already built more hotels and businesses. With easy access to a train station, the area was soon teeming with vacationers and snowbirds looking to escape the cold. While the original hotel no longer stands, the community’s spirit lives on as a vacation haven.

You can support the Palm Beach art community by visiting the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts and catching one of many live performances. They host both national and local productions, with four different stages available for shows. Their movie theater hosts a club and film festival, encouraging involvement from the community.
